All of our sunglasses are made from a lightweight and durable TR90 composite. The material ensures that your frames won't warp or lose shape in either extreme hot or cold environments aka the beach or the mountain. All lenses are made of polarized CR39 material which is as clear as glass but strong as plastic. They are 100% UV400 protection and FDA Approved impact resistant. All of the sunglasses on our website have EU Category 3 lenses with a visible light transmission rating of 15%, and meet all US ANSI z80.3 standards, including the FDA advanced impact test.
All Foldies come with UV400 protection you may be wondering what that means…well basically it’s the best type of protection available for your eyes. Foldies block 99-100% of harmful rays from the sun to keep your eyes safe. Everyone knows that the 1% is just hard to block.
The HepTek™ lenses of Folides polarized sunglasses reduce glare reflected at some angles off shiny non-metallic surfaces, such as water. They allow wearers to see into water when only surface glare would otherwise be seen, and eliminate glare from a road surface when driving into the sun.

We ship orders Monday through Friday, allow 1 full business day for order processing before your order ships. During promotions and sales, please allow up to 2 full business days for us to get your order out. Luckily, we get a lot of orders but we also staff accordingly, you’ll get your Foldies in a timely manner.

Yes, we do offer international shipping for a flat $20 USD. The shipment may incur additional import taxes and duties which will need to be paid by the customer.
*International shipping cost is non-refundable. If the package is returned due to incorrect address, failure to pick up the package or failure to pay customs the customer will be responsible for shipping costs incurred by Foldies.
Please allow up to 1 business day for order processing before your order ships. Domestic packages will arrive within 3-5 business days from the ship date.

Yep, you will receive a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number shortly after we ship. Please allow the tracking link about 24-48 hours to show any updates.
In addition to the $20 USD shipping fee, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. The general amount for the duties and taxes fee is about 20% of the dollar amount of the merchandise. Sezzle is a payment solution that empowers you to “Buy Now and Pay Later” with simple, interest-free installment plans. Sezzle will break down the total cost of your purchase into smaller payments, spread over at least six weeks.
When you checkout with Sezzle, they are processing your payment and credit card. Sezzle takes a small percentage then transfers us that money. You are able to signup for a Sezzle while you are checking out on Foldies.
When you are using your Apple or Google device you will be presented with the option to checkout using the associated method. You can use this method to quickly checkout without entering your shipping and billing details.

Returns & Exchanges
Yes, we accept returns and exchanges up to 30 days after the purchase. Check out our Returns Policy here. During Sales or Promotions, some sales are listed as FINAL.
When making your purchase, you can redeem the value of the gift card by entering its unique code at checkout in the checkout or coupon code field. This code isn't case sensitive. The gift card balance can be spent over more than one order. Your gift card balances are applied to the total value of an order, which can include taxes and shipping.
When you redeem your gift card, our checkout will display one of the following options:
1.) If the balance available on the gift card is greater than or equal to the order total, you can click "Complete order".
2.) If the balance available on the gift card is less than the order total, then you will be prompted to choose a second payment method for the balance before placing the order.

To customize a pair of prescription Foldies for you, we will need you to upload your valid prescription as well as provide us with your Pupillary Distance, (PD) measurement. .
The uploaded prescription must have the following:
2)Date of the visit (within 2 years)
5)One quarter diopters (ie: 0.25)
Foldies does not take vision insurance, but be sure to check with your insurance provider if they provide reimbursment. If so, we can provide a detailed receipt.
It takes 7-10 business days for your prescription Foldies to be ready to ship to you. Typically shipping is 3-5 business days.
Pupillary Distance is the measurement in millimeters between the center of your left and right pupils. Many times this is not provided on your prescription. There are many easy ways to get this measurement via online tools and smart phone apps. We recommend the EyeMeasure App if using an iPhone, or just search "pupillary distance measurement" to find the measurement tool that works for you.
Foldies cannot use an expired prescription.
Foldies' 2 year warranty will cover manufacturing defects that are related to the frame of the sunglasses.
The customized prescription lenses will be covered for manufacturing defects for 90 days from delivery of the sunglasses.
Prescription Foldies are only available in the United States.
We use polycarbonate lenses for all of our prescription Foldies. This material has proven to be the most durable and quality option available for prescription sunglasses.
Our prescription Foldies utilize new frames to ensure the best quality and fit for the customized lenses. We are not able to use a used frame for new prescription lenses.
Because we customize these amazing sunglasses for your specific eyes, Foldies cannot accept returns of prescription sunglasses.
